The last race for the Greek Championship took place in Athens on October 2, 2011, where 42 drivers from all around Greece and Cyprus participated. Team XRAY was present with 10 cars, and the two of them (Theologitis and Paparegas T) were favorites for the title. The event was held on Saturday (2 qualification rounds) and Sunday (2 qualifications and semi-finals). Theologitis had done good preparation with a good set-up, and his laptimes were 33.5sec.
The track was changing all the time and the drivers struggled to find the right set-up and tyres. Theologitis took TQ and his semi-final. but the laptimes now were at 38+ sec. The other two XRAYs â“ Paparegas bros â“ had a disadvantage of less training because they had to travel from northern Greece for that race but they performed well and they both were in the main final.
Stelios wanted only a 2nd or 3rd place in front of Paparegas to win the championship.

The race was not easy with Tsigkos and Theologitis to change places. Theologitis had to do one more pit stop so in the last 3 minutes he was at the secure 2nd place. But Stelios is not a driver who looks only for the points and championship; he is after the win up until the last second! After pushing very hard, he managed to pass Tsigkos after his mistake and managed to finish 1st just 3 seconds ahead. It was a great race, with all the spectators very anxious until the last passing. Paparegas T had a flame-out and managed to finish 5th, a great performance from him too despite the lack of training and fact that he had to travel so far.

Stelios Theologitis is the Champion for the second consecutive time with his XRAY 808. This was his 15th Greek 1/8 buggy championship !!! Paparegas T is a new driver and is 2nd at the final ranking. So XRAY made the 1-2 in the Greek Championship.
